Meet the Creator

Hi, I’m Jade!

I’m a mum, a qualified primary teacher, and now a Literacy & Dyslexia Specialist based in Melbourne’s Inner South-East. After more than a decade in the classroom, I founded Me Lab and Co in 2019 to offer personalised, evidence-based support that helps children thrive in reading, writing, and spelling.

As an accredited MSL Specialist and Orton-Gillingham practitioner, I’m all about making structured literacy feel fun, supportive, and accessible. I’ve worked with countless children who felt like reading “just wasn’t for them,” and I made it my mission to change that.

Whizz Bean was born when I noticed a gap: many learning games felt too babyish for older kids who still wanted to play, have fun, and feel challenged. I created Whizz Bean to be age-respectful, engaging, and effective for all learners.

💛 My Motto: When learning feels like play, real progress happens.

It’s not about how fast children get there — it’s about how supported, safe, and empowered they feel along the way. That’s when confidence grows, and learning truly clicks.

💛 Jade xx

What is Whizz Bean?
